Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: IXB Airport / NJP Railway Station to Gangtok.
After being received at IXB/NJP/Siliguri, proceed to Gangtok (5,410 ft), which is 120 km away and takes approximately 4.5 hours. After reaching Gangtok, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 2: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and New Baba Mandir
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft) and Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13,200 ft), located 52 km from Gangtok. (In case of landslides or other reasons, if Tsomgo Lake is closed, alternate sightseeing will be provided.) Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Optional: A tour to Nathula Pass (14,000 ft / 4,200 m) on the China border can also be arranged (except Mondays) for Indian Nationals on advance request at an additional cost, subject to availability.
Day 3: Gangtok Half-Day Sightseeing and Transfer to Darjeeling
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day sightseeing covering Do-drul Chorten Stupa, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Ropeway, and Ban Jhakri Falls. After lunch, drive to Darjeeling (120 km / 4 hrs / 6,730 ft). Check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 4: Darjeeling Local Tour
Wake up early in the morning (around 3:30 am) to witness the sunrise from Tiger Hill (2,590 m / 13 km / 45 min). On the way back, visit the famous Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast, proceed for a city tour of Darjeeling covering the Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda, P.N. Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre (closed on Sundays), an outer view of a tea garden (Chitrey), and Tenzing Rock. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 5: Departure to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station
Proceed from Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / NJP Railway Station / Siliguri for onward journey (70 km drive / approx. 3 hours).
