Sikkim’s Eastern Himalayas have just opened a new chapter in adventure and discovery! The border areas of Doka La (Doklam) and Cho La, known for their historical and strategic importance, are now officially open to domestic tourists under the Ranbhoomi Tourism Destination (Battlefield Tourism) initiative by the Government of India.
This initiative offers travelers a rare opportunity to step into high-altitude landscapes that were once restricted and experience the stories of courage that shaped India’s mountain borders.
The Gateway to the Frontiers: Zuluk
Nestled on the legendary Old Silk Route, Zuluk is now emerging as the perfect gateway for those planning to visit Doka La and Cho La. The serene mountain village, located at an altitude of around 10,000 ft, offers breathtaking views of the Eastern Himalayas, winding roads, and layers of mist that make every morning feel magical.
And when it comes to a comfortable stay amidst these untouched mountains, Voyage Glenz Resort stands as your ideal stopover.

A Journey through History
Both Cho La and Doka La (Doklam) carry deep historical significance.
